There is a pulse that is pumping through the state of Utah! Every year the excitement builds as these two teams prepare to take each other on in the ever infamous Holy War! With that pulse comes the blood that sweeps through the veins- and don't they say that blood runs blue in the veins? Just as it should be!
Somehow we keep making friends with Ute fans?! My cute (Ute) friend Tami and I made these little shirts for my other cute (Ute) friends in Texas. I sent them off with a few taunts as well as a football and a Ute bar of soap with a note attached, "Let's keep it clean Utes!"
We have our own trophy for the winning family and every year we battle our Texas buddies for the rights to hang the football ornament on our tree. We are proud to have had it the past two years and plan to hang on to it a few more!
Tomorrow is the big day!
BIG DAY... bigger than Christmas! Ok, maybe AS big as Christmas!
I plan to "rise and shout" all the way to my parent's home for a party! It's gonna be a good game! I may just have to get the tree out early!
GO COUGS!!

This is so funny! Somehow, I have lived in Utah my whole life and remain neutral on this matter.
Go COUGS!!! I have to say I am surprised you don't love the U being that you grew up in the Avenues! I hope we come out on top--I am a little nervous!
Wow! so funny, what happened to our cougars?! I have always liked the Y, growing up in ut county, and yes im surprised you don't like the U too!! Im glad to hear it! hope you had a good weekend!
I haven't noticed any further blog updates since yesterday.... hmmmm..... I won't comment further except YEA UTES!!!
Well wish I were sad about the outcome. But I do like the Utes over the Y. It was a good game and BYU did their best.
Cute shirts, I hope she loved it. Thanks for the cupcakes and the Y flag. Go Utes!!! Better luck next year.
I live in Utah County and totally didn't know the outcome of the game until today! That shows you how into football we are at my house!
Well may your time win! Wishing you a happy Thanksgiving.
So, I'm commenting after the game, and I just gotta say ... we've always known which university is the Lord's TRUE school.
