Well... Halloween was SO fun this year! We decided to dress the grand kids, on my side of the family, as the Wizard Of Oz! My kids were SO excited and they were counting down the days until they were "off to see the wizard!"
Quincy was the scarecrow, William was the tin man and their little cousin Ellie, was Dorothy. William really got into it and was knocking on each door with his ax! Quincy was dancing and falling all over the place like the scarecrow! These characters really get into character!
The littlest members of the family, Maddyn and Andrew, were the witch and the lion. They were all SO darling! My kids were SO excited to go trick-or-treating! After the first door, William asked, "are we going home now?" They were content with one piece of candy-they don't eat much around here! They were thrilled to find out they could keep going for more!!
We weren't able to make it to a pumpkin patch this year- but we did manage to get to Smith's and buy our pumpkins there. The kids were just fine with that and had fun picking out the perfect pumpkin!!
Each child had their own pumpkin (the smallest for the baby yet to come). Chip came up with the "Y" idea for her pumpkin- looks like this girl doesn't stand a chance with all these boys!

Adorable! I love it! I love family theme costumes.
My dance studio is doing the Wizard of Oz for our spring show. I tried to talk my family into dressing up like OZ for Halloween, but they just didn't get on board. =(
Your kids look so cute!
TOO TOO CUTE!! I love the witch. The green face is too good. Your boys look great and that was funny how they got into charactor. The little lion looks a lot like william. I honestly can't believe how big your boys seem to be getting everyday. I miss seeing them.
Oh. My. Gosh! Your kids and their costumes are so amazingly cute! I am impressed and think you must be a Halloween super hero! Compared to you...well, we'll just leave it at that...
Well...Cecily- I WAS CAT WOMAN this year ;)
What CUTE costumes...and even CUTER kids! How great that you live close to cousins and can do fun stuff like this.
Ty, these costumes are sooo cute! Where did you find the tinman?
I can't remember Smitty- I'd have to look through my email confirmations- but if you just Google it- it comes up in a few places!
Great pictures Laura. I love, love, love, theme costumes. I really need to get into it and at least have Richard and I match next year. Isn't it great living next to the cousins?
